Missionary Update 03/15/2019

WorldView Ministries

Spring, 2019

Dear Ministry Partners,

In your life of living for Jesus, have you experienced blessings beyond measure to the degree that your are consumed with gratitude and your heart overflows in praise to our Great God? Many have. We must admit, this is exactly where we are. Overwhelmed by His grace and enjoying His showers of blessing, we proclaim with Jeremiah, “22 The LORD’S ...compassions fail not. 23  They are new every morning: great is thy faithfulness. 25 The LORD is good unto them that wait for Him, to the soul that seeketh Him.” (Lamentations 3:22-23, 25)

This year started robustly for us. After closing out 2018 with December meetings in Florida, Indiana and Michigan, January and February saw us in meetings in Indiana and Iowa. Bob departed in February for the annual WorldView Pastor's Conference in India. This was WorldView's 11th year for this meeting and there were 215 pastors in attendance and 350 college students. Departing from India, he was off to teach national pastors in Yangon, Myanmar through Doulos Theological Seminary. This year seven national pastors graduated from the Doctor of Ministry degree program. What a joy for Bob to see this group of his dedicated students who are also good pastors in Myanmar complete their degree.

Bob returns to the States in mid-March. We travel together and co-host a tour of Israel March 25-April 4.

Days later Bob will join Dr. Ken Fielder and others on the WorldView team as they travel to Mbarara, Uganda, Africa for the dedication of the newly translated and printed New Testament in the Runyankore language. Dr. Fielder said, "We are excited to celebrate WorldView’s first completed New Testament translation! We are planning a big day for the expected crowd of 500 at the dedication service in Mbarara, Uganda."  We have shipped the New Testaments and plan for an immediate distribution. Pray with us that many souls will be saved through the use of this new translation.

PRAYER REQUSTS

1. March 10, 2019, eight of our current fourteen students graduated with their Master of Arts in Bible Translation degree from WorldView Institute in India. Please pray for them as they make the transition into ministry.

2. Please pray for the physical health and safety of all of us traveling to the dedication ceremony of the Runyankore New Testament on April 13 and for God's blessing on the ceremony.

3. One of our church planting co-workers from Turkey, Matt Deshon, has been diagnosed with an inoperable brain tumor. Matt began cancer treatment early this month. We are praying for a miraculous healing of Matt. Please join with us in prayer for Matt, his wife Kim and their children.

4. Pray for God's power on the continuing of ministry opportunities and for the safety of our friends and co-workers amid the changing political landscape in Turkey.

5. Join with us as we pray for the new born baby girl of dear ministry friends in the Middle East. The little girl was delivered early in the pregnancy and is struggling to overcome many health issues.

6. Join with us in prayer for a family dear to us and with whom we have co-labored who will be making a ministry move to a creative access Muslim country in the near future. Pray as they work through new complications related to setting up a residence and then settle into their new home that the Lord will meet all their needs and help them in the adjustment to this new country.

7. In May we travel to Turkey. Pray for our interaction with nationals and resident friends and the  completion of plans for a future training opportunity.

8. Please pray for God to call more workers to plant churches among the unreached and for our continued good health and physical stamina as well as God's blessing on our service for Him. We are thankful for the doors which are opening for our ministry endeavors.

You are an essential part of what we are doing for the cause of Jesus Christ. Thank you for upholding us in prayer. Satan never rests. His is a relentless foe. Thankfully, he is also a defeated foe! To God be the glory!

Missionary Update 02/12/2018

“ And when he had taken the book, the four beasts and four and twenty elders fell down before The Lamb, having every one of them harps, and golden vials full of odors, which are the prayers of saints. And they sung a new song, saying, Thou art worthy to take the book, and to open the seals thereof: for thou wast slain, and hast redeemed us to God by thy blood out of every kindred, and tongue, and people, and nation;” (Revelation 5:8-9)

 Dear Ministry Partners,

Our travel schedule is about to go fast forward in two weeks. Great news: Turkey rescinded the travel ban for U.S. citizens and is once again granting visas for travel there this year. We immediately applied for visas and they have been granted to us. We travel there for ministry in April and May. Therefore these early months of 2018 will include ministry in India, Myanmar, the Pacific Northwest in the USA and Turkey. Currently we are conducting ministry in the Midwest and I am completing my teaching and preaching preparation for my travels to India and Myanmar the end of February and first of March.

We are grateful for those of you who contributed funds to the India Scholarship Fund helping us train students enrolled in WorldView Institute on the campus of South India Baptist Bible College and Seminary in Coimbatore, India. Your giving covered this year's student scholarships and we were able to roll over remaining funds toward providing the needed scholarship funding for the next academic year! Thank you. We will continue to lay this ongoing need before those who are  interested in this part of our current efforts to reach the unreached with the Gospel.

The past few days have been trying. Wednesday of last week I noticed a peculiar skin irritation on my upper right arm. By Sunday it had spread to several places on that arm with accompanied swelling of both my right hand and arm. Monday my doctor put me on oral antibiotics but with no positive outcome. He sent me to the emergency room on Tuesday and I was checked into the hospital that day. I was released from the hospital late Wednesday after multiple blood draws for tests, heavy doses of antibiotics and other cautionary procedures. I will know the results of the blood tests and cultures next Friday. We think I may have had some type of bug bite. Please pray that my condition will clear and allow me to travel overseas.

Your intercessory partnership with us is vital to our continuing efforts with the gospel. We depend on and rejoice over your faithfulness. Thank you for partnering with us.

Missionary Update 12/28/2017

Dear Ministry Partners,

This has been a ministry filled year for us. We have completed six overseas assignments and traveled to mission conferences and special preaching opportunities in fourteen states. Additionally, we were conference attendees promoting the vision of our ministry and recruiting prospective co-workers. Needless to say, we have been busy. Oh yes, and we also celebrated 50 years of marriage! To God be the Glory!

We are thrilled with what the Lord is doing globally through WorldView Ministries. Translation projects are progressing despite Satanic opposition. Churches that have been planted are growing, new works are being started in repressive societies, evangelistic efforts abound and training national workers continues to be a rich blessing.

As we move forward into 2018 your continued partnership is vital. Prayer is a key to lasting spiritual results. Thank you for your commitment to pray with us as we seek to reach the unreached with the Word of God.

Praying and working for the harvest,

Bob & Gayle

Missionary Update 11/18/2016

Dear Pastor Smith and Partners at Faith Baptist Church, Tacoma, WA,

Summer has flown by and the cooler fall months are upon us. We have also had many opportunities to teach and share God’s Word in churches as well as with friends, neighbors, family and fellow believers. These have been two of the busiest months of ministry for us ever! And we have been battling some minor sickness.

Your support in prayers and financial partnership means so much to us at this time. We have been busily putting finishing touches on our winter 2016 schedule and planning into the months and years ahead. Early in September we made a much-needed trip to Turkey to evaluate how recent political developments have impacted the works there. We also spent time with friends who have moved to a new city which has no meeting place. Continue to pray for this fine family and the group of people who are praying for God to establish a meeting place in their city! We also traveled in the country of Armenia to encourage a couple working there. Thank you for praying. God answered with effective ministry and safe travels for the two weeks. We count on your prayers! In early October we got to represent WorldView at a missions emphasis week at Bob Jones University. We are now in the state of Washington reporting and garnering support from some new churches! It was a pleasure being with you on Wednesday night this week!!

Our hearts are heavy with many of the recent developments in our country. Please pray for more workers to spread the good news of the gospel as the time seems to be short. Your two monthly support checks of $100.00 each were received September 30, 2016 in our WorldView office at 7090 US Highway 36, Avon, Indiana. Thank you very much for faithful giving to make God’s Word a powerful tool in the hands of believers and the unsaved in many places. Have a great week serving the Lord.

Working for the Harvest,

Bob and Gayle

Missionary Update 10/03/2016

Dear Pastor Smith and Friends at Faith Baptist Church, Tacoma, WA

Summer is flying by and the cooler fall months will soon be upon us. The summer months have provided us opportunities to establish primary doctors in Evansville, get a bit more settle into our home before the busy fall schedule begins and conduct some needed ministry business. We have also had many opportunities to teach and share God’s Word in church as well as with friends, neighbors, family and fellow believers. It is important that we follow up with our prayers and our encouragement to those we love and pray for a ministry to them.

“Call unto me, and I will answer thee, and shew thee great and mighty things, which thou knowest not.” (Jeremiah 33:3)

Have you ever been challenged by the very people among whom God sent you to serve? You are there presuming that you are to minister to their needs when all along, God planned it to be the other way around. They are to have a profound ministry to you! If you are there, open your heart to what God has for you.
I traveled with Dr. Ken Fielder, General Director and President of WorldView Ministries, to Uganda, Africa. There we interacted with a team of Ugandan pastors who are committed to translating Scripture into their Runyankore language. Diligence and passion aptly describes the commitment level of these men to such a daunting task. Add to that their combined desire for accuracy and a trustworthy translation coming out of humble hearts dependent on God's help. I was both awed and challenged. Such steadfast determination to please God and reach people with His life-changing Word has placed a deep mark on my life.
Precious time last Fall spent in Turkey likewise yielded a bundle of special blessings. We have prayed for years and challenged believers around the world to bring before their Father in heaven the spiritual needs of that country and to prayerfully consider what part God might have them play in meeting those needs. Praying is effective! There are now teams of workers embarking on the task of bringing the light of the gospel into the darkness. Some have joined with the few who were already there while others are starting fresh. To be with them, to encourage, strengthen, teach and in whatever means God affords, to help further their mission was rewarding. But, by far the greater reward came as their faithfulness was observed in fleshing out their calling. Thank you dear friends!
The late Fall afforded preaching opportunities in missions conferences and other preaching venues. Being with many of you and your churches was wonderful for Gayle and me. Seeing your burden for the expanding work we are involved in was uplifting. Pastor after pastor stirred in heart to reach the unreached! Congregations moved to enlarge their part in this massive endeavor to bring the Word of God to people in such great spiritual need! Seeing the need for Bible translation, church planting and training nationals in countries whose need for the truth is so desperate is quickly becoming the focus for the global outreach of many of these churches. Thank you for you partnership.
The beginning of 2016 afforded preaching and teaching assignments both in the States and in Myanmar (Burma), India and Kenya. Training nationals for great commission ministry brings joy to my heart and is producing fruit in the lives of the students. We return to Turkey in May for additional work there. Thank you for your partnership with us.

Missionary Update 12/21/2015

December 18, 2015

“For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Saviour which is Christ the Lord.” Luke 2:11

Dear Pastor Smith and Partners at Faith Baptist Church, Tacoma, WA,
Thank you for your prayers and love during this year of transition in many areas of our lives. I love the message of the angels to the shepherds about the birth of our Lord. What great fear must have filled their hearts, but wonderful joy replaced that fear when they saw Jesus. That reminds me of the way salvation comes to many. Conviction and the awareness of our great need bring fear to our hearts, but seeing through eyes of faith the One who fulfilled prophecy and made our salvation possible we are filled with joy as we confess our sin and are born again into God’s family. What a vital message we all have to share with a lost world.
Your help to reach some in this dying world through Bible translation and church planting is invaluable to us and many around the world. Thank you so much. Have a wonderful celebration with your family and church family. In mid-January Bob will be headed to Burma and India to preach and teach there. Please pray for safety and outstanding effective ministry.
Your recent monthly support of $100.00 has been received in our WorldView office. Thank you so much for your sacrifice. Please make ALL checks payable to WorldView with our name on the line at the bottom of the check, so that it will be directed properly. Thank you for helping us with this transition. Missionary Update 10/13/2015

Bob & Gayle McQueary's Newsletter

October, 2015

These have been fruitful months in our ministry. When we launched the work of Western Asia Ministry to establish churches and to train nationals to assume the leadership in churches, we did so with the belief that God would bless these efforts. And He has blessed us beyond our expectations. Today, there are churches where, when we arrived, there were none. Faithful men with whom we partnered are leading those works with nationals assuming leadership roles.
Furthermore, we have been privileged to expand our ministry into other countries with rich ministry partnerships being formed enabling this work to effectively reach thousands more with the gospel. These newer opportunities in other countries has proven to be spiritually rewarding, opening doors we did not envision.
Evaluating these expanding ministry directions with our sending church pastor, Dr. Marc Monte, he counseled us to consider merging Western Asia Ministry with WorldView Ministries (www.worldviewonline.net), which is also sent out of Faith Baptist Church of Avon, Indiana. After much prayer, we agreed to take this step and have merged our ministry with Dr. Ken Fielder of WorldView Ministries. I will serve with him as Director of Church Planting and the Training of Nationals. We will base out of the States and travel to selected ministry locations throughout the year. Additionally, we will maintain a full preaching schedule in Missions and Bible conferences.
Worldview Ministries' focus is on Bible translation where there is no Bible available in the heart language of selected people groups. Many of these people are among the unreached people groups in the 10/40 window. This merger gives us a continuing pioneering gospel ministry where the need is huge. We plan to partner in the forming of faithful churches and the training and equipping of nationals who live where the translation projects are engaged. We are rolling over to WorldView Ministries the TimothyTwo program with a desire to enlarge that program's ability to assist nationals.
Bob and Dr. Fielder traveled to Uganda, Africa this summer where a translation of the New Testament into the Runyankore language in nearing completion. Interacting with the translation team and Missionary Pastor Bryan Stensaas was personally uplifting and ministry profitable. With this project days away from being sent for printing, we ask you to pray for a timely completion of the project. The Gospel of John and Romans has been printed and distributed. Work has begun on the Old Testament.
Bob spent time in Turkey in September traveling to five cities where we are partnering with ministries begun during our first term. What great joy to once again be with those with whom we have invested our lives and together rejoice over the progress being made for God's glory in that spiritually dark land. Stability and growth characterize some of those works while others are experiencing the joy of beginning a new effort. As we continue our partnership with them, please pray for the power of God on those ministries.
With a commitment to continue our goal of reaching the unreached in Western Asia we are adding the responsibility to see fulfilled the ministry goals of WorldView Ministries. We are actively pursuing for WorldView Ministries both new support for the existing projects in China, India, Nepal, Uganda and other Restricted Access Nations and the adding of co-workers to the WorldView Team. Your prayers and assistance in our ministry is appreciated and needed. Thank you. May God's richest blessings be yours as you serve Him.

Praying and Working for the harvest,

Bob & Gayle McQueary
