Missionary Update 04/01/2024

Dear Churches and Friends,                                                                                          March 2024  At the beginning of the year, we had a men’s camp with the theme “soldiers for Christ”. This month Bible Baptist Church had a woman’s camp with the theme “godly woman”. We invited a guest speaker to come and teach our woman. She did a great job. Our women were challenged and encouraged in the way of God. We also focused on basic Bible doctrine to build a strong foundation. There was prayer and devotion time. Of-course there was good food and fellowship as well. For outreach, Bible Baptist Church spent an afternoon at the university. Our group rented a booth and set up a table with tracts and other materials. On the table, we placed a wooden a-frame sign of the “Three Things God Can’t Do” with 3 doors. The a-frame is a great tool to get others to think about the new birth. We also brought our instruments and played hymns in the cafeteria. While some played music, others went around handing out tracts. Our bakery made cookies for the occasion, and we were able to hand out cookies to many students. Praise the Lord. We thank you for your prayers and support. Missionary Update 02/05/2024

Dear Churches and Friends,                                                                            Bible Baptist Church started the year with a revival. Our revival theme was families and relationships. We met at a nearby resort, and had Bible studies, prayer, and singing. The food and fellowship were good. There was an excellent spirit and all were challenged by the word of God. Deat’s older sister came to visit us for the new year along with her husband and four-year-old son. His sister Buu, and her husband Baln, were not saved. We have had Deat’s sister on our prayer list for a couple of years. I’m very pleased to report that she received Jesus Christ as her Saviour while she was with us. She repented of her sins and called on the name of the Lord for salvation. Three days later her husband Baln repented of his sins and received Jesus Christ as his Saviour as well. An interesting side note: After Baln got saved, he admitted that he was not wanting to come and visit us and had much turmoil of heart. When his wife Buu got saved he said he was angry at everyone. However, after accepting Jesus as his Saviour, he said a great weight was lifted off his heart. He was in a great spiritual battle for months. Praise the Lord. We thank you for your prayers and support. Missionary Update 12/04/2023

Dear church,  we are grateful for your prayers and impulse.   We continue working to reach Colombia for Christ. I want to tell you that we continue to plant the new church that is on the outskirts of Bogotá in a city called Mosquera. Thank God, we continue to win souls during the week and the plan. What we will continue is to open Bible studies in homes in order to gain the trust of people and then reach others for Christ. The church is going well. Some people have been added. There are visitors and a good spirit.  We recently had to change places to a cheaper one. It is not that big, but it will help us to continue having services on Sundays while we grow. Let us remember that this church has only been in Mosquera for four months. The churches of sound doctrine are null, there are none. and that is why we see the importance of the call to maintain this church and continue planting many more.  The church in Bogotá is going well, we are growing, the brothers are committing much more, and we are planning next year to do much better, reaching more people aiming to bring Christ to other places,   our prayer requests are: provision for a van for the use of the church.  provision for a sound system for the new church in Mosquera  I want to attach photos of the churches. The first four photos are from the new church in Mosquera. The following photos are from the Thanksgiving Day of the church in Bogotá.

Dear Churches and Friends,                                                                                                                                   July August 2023  Last month Bible Baptist Church has had several visitors from the local university. We have been regularly visiting the university to minister and distribute tracts. In addition to distributing tracts, our young men and women will take time to sit and visit with students about Jesus Christ and the gospel. We have made several friends now and are starting to see results from our efforts. The names of the students that have come to visit are: New, Nat, Bay, Mea, and Jin. We will continue to build relationships and teach them about salvation and the Bible. Continued We have had a big month of outreach. In addition to the university work, some of our young men and woman went to the hometown of three of our members, ToeTo, Deat, and Fang. We were able to share the gospel to ToeTo’s mother and grandmother. We also had a Bible study with Fang’s grandfather and grandmother, her aunt and husband.  Then we visited Deat’s aunt and cousins: Pen, Stamp, Champ. All are lost. We gave all of them a clear presentation of the gospel and left tracts with each. We also had a special mountain retreat meeting. Our theme focused on church and the family. Missionary Update 06/01/2023

Dear Churches and Friends,                                                                                               May 2023  Bible Baptist Church is continuing to go forward. We had our first wedding this month. Two of our founding members, Deat and Fang got married. They were both saved and baptized under this ministry. We met through friends at a nearby university about 5 years ago. Deat, the young man, got saved first. Fang got saved about two years later. Both have since graduated and have been faithful coming to church. It is a real blessing to see two people get saved, grow in the Lord, and get married. The wedding turned out to be a great opportunity to witness. Both Deat and Fang had lost family members and friends come to the wedding. One of our young men, Toe, gave a clear presentation of the gospel at the end of the wedding. An interesting side note that caught my attention: Most of the people that attended the wedding, even Christians from our church had never seen a Christian wedding. So, it was a new experience for our group. There was an excellent spirit at the wedding, that seemed to touch the hearts of both Christians and non-Christians. We thank the Lord for such a good spirit and strong testimony. We are very thankful for your prayers and support.    Together for His service Jeff Gross Prayer Salvation: Boat, Aa, Uum Salvation: Daet’s Sister Learning Language & Culture Churches in Thailand Acts 26:18 – “To open their eyes, and to turn them from darkness to light, and from the power of Satan unto God, that they may receive forgiveness of sins, and inheritance among them which are sanctified by faith that is in me.” Seeds to Take Root in Hearts

Dear Churches and Friends,                                                                                           March 2023  Our church is now going regularly to the local university to witness and hand out tracts. Our goal is to start a Bible study on campus. Several of our church members are graduates from the university. We have been able to sit and talk to many students about the Bible and salvation. We have also had two students come and visit our church. This month our church print ministry printed two sets of Chick tracts. We printed 5000 Charlie’s Ants tracts and 5000 tracts of The Only Way. On our last prayer update we had a teen-age boy named Ice, on the salvation list. He has since received Jesus Christ as his personal Saviour. We praise the Lord for his salvation. He also continues to come to church and Bible study. The schools in Thailand have semester break now through April. We have several family members and friends coming to visit us. It should be an excellent time to witness and minister. We thank you for your prayers and support.  Together for His service Jeff Gross Prayer Salvation: Boat, Aa, Uum Salvation: Daet’s Sister Learning Language & Culture Churches in Thailand Philippians 3:13-14 – “Brethren, I count not myself to have apprehended: but this one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before, I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus.” Seeds to Take Root in Hearts
