Missionary Update 12/21/2018

Dear Supporters of the Great Commission and the O'Malleys, on behalf of those who never heard, thank you for supporting missions. On behalf of those in the regions beyond who are unreached, thank you for giving sacrificially. Thank you for sending missionaries to go to places in spiritual darkness. Your support of Kim and me enables us to present the Gospel, serve missionaries on the field, help new missionaries get to their field, and assist churches to reach God's potential in their giving and spiritual growth. You sacrifice to send others. You invest in missions so all may hear the Gospel. Kim and I thank you for investing in the Great Commission. Your support meant we participated in Ambassador Baptist College's missions conference. Their conference is not about taking on missionaries. This is a conference where missionaries encourage students to find God's will and do it. I spoke in several classes and shared a testimony in the chapel. At the end of the conference, the students and faculty honored Pastor Norman Johnson, the Missions Department Head at their college. He went to be with the Lord in May. You may remember I spoke at his funeral. His loss created a vacuum where he served. This coin was cast to commemorate his life. The lives he touched remind me that we must make every day count. We must touch every heart for the Lord. We must invest in the work of the Gospel. Your support meant we helped churches increase their giving so more could go with the Gospel and all could hear on the field. Your prayers for us meant we were protected and kept by the unseen hand of God. Your interest in our ministry encouraged us to do God's work. Your support meant we could reinforce homes and churches with Bible preaching and teaching. It is in our homes we train future missionaries in character. It is in our churches we cultivate missionaries. This Fall, in Ohio, I preached for ten hours on developing a Bible Culture in our homes. God indeed worked in hearts. God's word works in every culture we bring it. During this year-end time of reflection, please reflect on these three things. 1. Your support means we can bring the Gospel everywhere. 2. Your support means we can encourage and pray for new laborers. 3. Your support means we can equip laborers for their tasks around the world. Merry Christmas, John O'Malley johnomalley.me JOHN AND KIM O'MALLEY

Missionary Update 02/20/2018

Dear Friend and Supporter of our Ministry, Every pastor and church struggles to find missionaries who are the right fit for their church. They search for missionaries with the right philosophy, who are going to the places which match their church's missions philosophy, and for those who will extend their church's reach of the Gospel. Thank you for facing these challenges and leading your church to invest in the Great Commission. Thank you for supporting Kim and me in the work God called us. Kim and I are grateful for your support because, without you, we could not preach the Gospel to the lost. Without your investment, we could not assist missionaries on the field. Without your partnership, we could not help churches build their missions programs. Without your participation, we could not serve newly started missionaries in taking their first steps in ministry. Without your prayer, we could not guide prospective missionaries in getting from their calling to the field. We need you. We are thankful for you. We pray for you. In January, I participated in a missionary's commissioning service. I met this missionary during his college training. Many of you prayed when I took him on his survey trip to the Solomon Islands. Today, he is serving there with his wife and son. Pray for this family; they are the Deatricks with World Wide New Testament Baptist Missions. In January, I met with a prospective missionary about service in a rural mountain area in Peru. Her village is a 24-hour bus ride from Lima. She is seeking direction about a missions agency to help her church send her to the field. In January, I spoke in a league chapel service at Ambassador Baptist College. During this chapel service, I challenged the students to be like Ezekiel whom God made to be a watchman. Their league's name is the Watchmen. (A league is an affinity group similar to a society group or fraternity or sorority, just within a Christian context.) In January and by the end of February, I will have spoken in four churches to help build their Great Commission program by investing and being involved in delivering the Gospel. Your giving helps us go. Your praying makes us useful. Your friendship sustains us. Thank you, John O’Malley PO BOX 1374 KINGS MOUNTAIN, NC 28086-1374 (704) 974-6108 YOUR MISSIONARIES JOHN AND KIM O’MALLEY

Missionary Update 12/15/2017

Dear friend of the O'Malleys, God's mission to redeem the world defines our daily tasks and life's work. Your investment makes us available to present the Gospel. You help us assist churches and missionaries with their Great Commission work. We appreciate you enabling us to fulfill the call of God. Last month, God used your investments to allow me to be on the campus of Ambassador Baptist college. Each Fall the college holds a missions' conference. Their conference is about exposing students to missionary opportunities and mission agencies. During the conference, I spoke with more than 100 students. The Lord allowed me the opportunity to speak in classes to encourage students to serve the Lord. Thank you for making that opportunity possible. During November and December, I assisted eight churches with their Great Commission efforts. A missions' conference is an opportunity to keep the mission of God before God's people. The conference allows people to renew their commitment to give toward God's mission. Thank you for investing in the Great Commission efforts of your church. The Lord gave me the opportunity to be a part of two new missionary interviews. The interview is the last step in vetting new missionaries for our agency. These new missionaries will be going to Brazil and the Dominican Republic. Thank you for making it possible to help the world get new missionaries. Kim and I wish you the brightest and the most joyous celebration of our Savior's birth. Thank you for what you do to help us bring the Gospel to a world who knows nothing about redemption or adoption. Thank you for supporting us to help in the work of the Great Commission.    Sincerely yours, John O’Malley

Missionary Update 09/02/2016

Dear friends who pray for us, The Mission of God is ever-present on our minds as we train missionaries, assist churches, and advance the Gospel. We could not do this task without you. Thank you. This quarter, the Lord allowed me to assist nine churches in their mission conferences. Each mission conference raises more funds for missionaries to gain support to get to the field of their calling. The nine mission conferences were held in eight states. I got to speak in several teen-only contexts. I love these moments because I feel like I am touching the hearts of the future leaders. I strive to inspire them to follow God’s will, God’s Word, and look for a place in the world to be used on the mission of God. Training and encouraging missionaries is a vital aspect of our ministry. Each year in June we convene with all World Wide New Testament Baptist Missions’ missionaries who are on deputation and furlough. Our theme this year was Workers Together with God. The meeting reminded us that the struggles we share are similar. We were encouraged that the Lord is our partner. We also learned that the work is the Lord’s; He alone is in control. The conference encouraged and equipped our people in the work of the Lord. Each day I live I want to be used to advance the Gospel and help people in their walk with God. I finished writing a book which is helping people in their quiet time with God. It is called Overcoming Your Devotional Obstacles. I identify the seven common obstacles which keep our people from having meaning and memorable devotions. I took the liberty to send you a copy which will arrive in a few days. If you believe it will help your people, let me know, and I can help you order them in bulk. Thank you for making this ministry possible! Serving Him, John O'Malley

Dear Praying Friend, Serving the Lord, preaching the Gospel, and encouraging missionaries is exciting. During the year's opening weeks, God allowed Kim and I to serve our missionary’s practical, financial, and spiritual needs. Every week, we work with missionaries to encourage their heart, remind them of their calling, and hold them up in prayer. Your support, both in prayers and financially, is not just important; it is the backbone of our work. It means your missionaries have an Aaron and Hur to uphold a missionary's arms, and because of you, we can continue to spread the Gospel. Your prayers and contributions are truly invaluable. I am planning our See the Harvest trip. This year, I am leading two dozen people from a dozen churches to Scotland in June. I am leading two trips to Scotland with two dozen people from a dozen churches who will come with me to distribute 30,000 John and Romans door-to-door. The anticipation for this mission is high, and we can't wait to see what God has in store for us. After ten days of letterboxing, we will hold three different Gospel outreach events: several evening Gospel meetings, a one-day community outreach in a central park, and a multi-day Vacation Bible School event. Each effort is designed to reach the population of greater Dumfries, Scotland. Could you pray God will meet the need for these trips in June? Also, I need a financial answer to prayer to ship 30,000 John and Romans to Scotland. I assisted nine churches in their Faith Promise goals. This aspect of our ministry is in the spirit of Luther Rice in the days of William Carey. Luther kept the funds coming for Carey as he served in place. We saw one church’s Faith Promise commitment exceed $350,000.00. Our God is worthy! God let me preach on the same evening with two younger men called to the ministry. I rarely consider myself the Older Preacher, but I was this night. I am grateful God calls men to the ministry to serve Him. This picture reminds me of God's goodness in serving the Lord. In March, I taught Seminary Students on Biblical Missions at the Independent Baptist Seminary in Dover, Delaware. I loved this opportunity to train future ministry leaders. Brethren, Pray for us! Yours for the harvest, John O'Malley johnomalley.me JOHN AND KIM O'MALLEY
