Missionary Update 12/31/2018
Dear Pastor, Happy New Year! I am hoping everyone had a strong finish to the end of 2018. We had meetings in Alabama and Georgia this past month and finished the end of the year up in our home church. We weren’t idle though; we brought some adult visitors to church this month and we added 5 new riders to the Karen refugee bus route. We did receive commitments from two new churches this month for support. However, we lost two and had another lower our support. It is all due to finances, so we totally understand. Sometimes you take two steps forward and three steps backwards. My daughter Rachel is in Rehab three times a week and should be walking in the next few weeks. Thank you for all your prayers. During this time, she made sure of her salvation and should be getting baptized in the next week. Thank you for your prayers for her and our family about this situation. Please pray for our support levels to increase and for travelling mercy. We head out next week to North Carolina for seven different meetings and then Tennessee after that for several more meetings before heading to Oklahoma. Soul Winning News: Our deputation ministry has had several success stories this past year, but I will only tell you about one that I consider to be one of the most successful ones… Gilbert and Julia from Great Bend, KS. I had the privilege to lead them to Christ last August. They have been baptized, discipled and faithfully attending Heritage Baptist Church of Great Bend, KS. Pastor Ken Gray, also, married them! Praise the Lord for the success of these young converts! Please pray for them as they continue to go forward in their Christian lives together as a couple! Missionary Todd Painter
