An update from FBCA
Dear FBCA Family and Friends,
As you all know, Washington State is at the forefront of this national health issue, the Coronavirus or COVID-19. As mandates continue to change and restrictions have been put in place, we have done everything in our power to both comply with these new rules while maintaining our school ministries to the best of our abilities.
Every March, we hold our largest fundraising event, our annual benefit auction. This is our single largest event of the year, raising much needed funds to keep our school operating and tuition costs low for our church families. We look forward to seeing so many familiar faces that faithfully attend and support our school, meeting new friends and family members whom you have personally invited. As enthusiasm grows from the beginning of the silent auctions to the excitement and laughter during the verbal, we have seen God do incredible things each year! And let’s not forget about our Fund-An-Item, “It’s for the kids!”
On Monday, March 16, 2020, Governor Inslee issued a reduction of statewide limits on gatherings, now limiting gatherings to a size of 50 people or less. Of course this is discouraging news to us, as we were planning to hold our event this Saturday where almost 200 guests come and show their support. While we have been preparing and taking extra measures to ensure a clean and safe facility, we cannot possibly have a successful event with such limitations now put in place. Unfortunately due to this change, we have no choice but to postpone our school auction.
At this time, we have rescheduled for Saturday, May 30th. All times will remain the same. If you have already purchased table seats, we are happy to keep your seats for this newly scheduled date. If you have not purchased seats or admission tickets but would like to be put on the list, please contact the school office (no payment required at this time). As information changes and restrictions are lifted, we will keep you all informed regarding any additional changes.
To all our faithful supporters, we would like to say a heartfelt thank you. You are the reason our event remains our largest fundraiser, bringing in over $50,000 each year to help sustain the ministries of Faith Baptist Christian Academy. Some have asked how they can be involved in helping the school during this time of uncertainty, so we have provided a donate button below. If you would like to give a one-time donation to help the school, we would be so grateful.
We encourage you to join with us in praying for our elected officials as they seek to end the spread of this virus, and for safety and protection for all of our families and the ministries of Faith Baptist Church & Christian Academy.
