Hello Pastor Smith,

One of the blessings we have had this month is a decision of one of our families to start home schooling. Their two school-age children have been in public school up to this point. The parents see the negative influence of the public school system and want the full-time Christian influence. They are using the A Beka videos curriculum, which helps the parents as they get started in this endeavor. We are thankful for their commitment to Christian education.

I have been spending time with Dylan (19) both evangelizing door-to-door and helping him with Bible study skills. He received Christ two years ago, and he has grown a lot spiritually. He prepared a series of devotions from Romans 10 for youth camp this past summer, and I am working with him to turn the devotions into mini-sermons. So far, he has preached Romans 10:1-4, about 10 minutes. The plan is for him to preach Romans 10:5-8 this coming Sunday night. He is excited, and I am delighted to see his growth and desire for the things of the Lord.
