Dear Pastor Smith and Faith Baptist Church   
I am writing this short letter from Bahia Blanca Argentina which is about 700 miles from where we are serving the Lord.  This is where our son David and his family are serving as missionaries.  They had to make a sudden trip to the States for their daughter’s surgery due to a disease in both of her legs.  Because their church is a relatively new church plant it needs outside help with the preaching while David is in the States.  Janice and I have come up here so that I can preach in the services and be there for the people.  We will be here until October 10.
David said that they took the cast off of Sara’s legs and that the surgery was very successful.  She now has some kind of temporary devise that she must wear for 12 hours a day for the next six or eight months depending on how she progresses.  It keeps her legs wide apart so that she does not put much pressure on the hip joints.  Sara has not complained at all. 
Nicolas is doing all the preaching in Comodoro Rivadavia while we are gone.  I watched the service on Sunday morning and he did a terrific job preaching.  It was real encouraging to me so see that.
