May Update
Dear Pastor and Prayer Supporter,
“And God is able to make all grace abound toward you; that ye, always having all sufficiency in all things, may abound to every good work.” II Cor. 9:8
A Call to Rejoice!
We are thrilled to report that this upcoming July is going to be the 6th annual International Pastors Training Seminar held at our facilities
in Danli, Honduras. Our entire family has been busy working on the conference center grounds, as the tasks that need to be completed soon
are numerous. The past few weeks have included scraping floors, installing doors, building rock walls, and constructing an open-air
auditorium—just to name a few. (Thank you, Pastor Jaquith and Westgate Baptist Church in Tigard, Oregon, for donating the funds to build
this much- needed open-air auditorium!) We are incredibly excited for the upcoming conference and are expectant of what God is going to
do in these pastors’ lives.
We have recently begun to pre-register pastors; and there has already been such an incredible response. Over 200 pastors are currently
committed to come, travelling from all over Central America and surrounding countries to attend this annual training conference. Our goal
each year is to help each individual pastor personally sharpen and grow in every area of his personal and ministry life. Sessions will include
teamwork, organization, soulwinning, administration, discipleship, separation, devotional life, as well as a myriad of other topics. Our facilities
provide the lodging, food, and teaching materials; and it is a blessing to say that other ministries (such as BLMF) have partnered with us to
provide additional evangelistic resources such as Bibles and tracts. Our belief and our prayer is that this year will yield the greatest impact—
bigger than ever before! As God continues to move in the lives of these pastors, we see a furthering in their personal ministries all across
Central America. Our pastor reminds us that if we can help and invest in a pastor, then he can go home, helping and investing in his people.
Though we may not be able to travel to the numerous Central American ministries every year, we have the privilege and opportunity to bring
them to us and take the time to personally invest them. And in turn, they can go back home and be a better soulwinner, a more committed
husband and father, an encouraged pastor for his people, and a stronger leader for his church.
A Call to Prayer!
Our family is so thankful to the Lord for the many blessings He bestows. After ten months of waiting, our containers have finally arrived
at the Honduras port—praise the Lord! But we do have an urgent prayer request concerning that. We received the invoice for the containers,
and they are over three times the amount originally quoted, coming in at $18,000. That does not include import taxes, and we do have setaside
funds for that; however, the invoice amount is so much more than we originally expected. Please be in prayer that the Lord will provide
the funds quickly for the unexpected shipping expenses as we know He opened the doors for us to have the containers shipped in with the
much needed personal and ministry supplies.
Our second prayer request is that we are able to raise funds for extra materials for the Pastors Training Conference July 11-14th. We are
needing 300 whole Spanish Bibles ($30 each), 300 Spanish discipleship materials, and additional funds for thousands of more tracts and New
Testaments for the pastors to take with them back to their ministries. These pastors cannot afford these resources (the majority only make a
few hundred dollars a month) and many travel far distances to be at the conference. Our prayer is that we have the ability to provide them
with as many resources as possible to take home. As always, the Lord has graciously provided for our needs every year at this conference, and
we greatly anticipate what He will do again this year! Once again, thank you so very much for the honor of representing you on the mission
field of Honduras and thank you for your faithfulness and continued prayers!
For His Glory,
The Lane Family
