Missionary Update 08/21/2017
Dear Pastor and Church Family, We hope you are doing well and that the Lord is blessing your ministry as you seek to reach folks for Christ! We are sending this letter asking for your prayer support as we begin the groundwork for our next church plant in Oxnard, CA. We have begun soul winning and have been able to see some folks saved, and tonight we begin a 5-week Bible Study over the Book of Philippians. Lord willing, we plan to have the Grand Opening for River Ridge Baptist Church on September 24, 2017! The Lord has allowed us to find a great meeting place at an incredible price! Missionary Update 02/17/2017
Dear Pastor, Last week we emailed you asking you to help us pray for the Grand Opening of our latest church plant in Ventura, CA. I am happy to report that God has answered prayer with a great day for the birth of Northpointe Baptist Church! God led us to seek support as church planting missionaries to the US after planting 3 in Northern California. For 21 months, we were on deputation presenting our ministry in over 150 churches, racking up thousands of travel miles. At the end of October 2016, our support level had reached 90% and we had peace that the Lord was leading us to begin preparation for the next church plant trusting Him for the remaining 10% of our needed support. On January 28, 29, God led us to have a God and Country event to reach out to the unchurched (44% of Ventura population). We had 4 churches come to help with outreach and music. God blessed us with approximately 180 in attendance with 52 local visitors and 5 salvations over the 2 days. The following Thursday evening we held our first Bible study with 10 in attendance and 1 lady trusting Christ as her Savior. We were able to reach 3 more souls while out soul-winning during the week leading up to the Grand Opening Service. On that day, we had 60 in attendance, 26 of which were local first time visitors. We were very pleased to have 4 of our converts in attendance as well for which we praise the Lord! We are thankful for the many churches that take the time to read our prayer and update letters and continue to pray that the Lord would work on hearts about supporting the ministry the Lord has entrusted to us. Missionary Update 02/10/2017
Dear Pastor, We are so excited for the upcoming Grand Opening of the Northpointe Baptist Church here in Ventura, CA! We would like to say Thank You, for partnering with us through prayer and financially giving that is helping us to plant this next church. In the last 2-weeks there have been 8 salvations through the eventing leading up to our Grand Opening for which we praise the Lord! I know we can count on your and the church family to pray for these requests: 1. God to touch hearts of the thousands of people that have received invitation cards 2. Holy Spirit would lead folks to come and that Satan would be bound 3. God would use His Word to convict hearts through the preaching, and that people would see their need for salvation! 4. Safety for college students traveling to help with Grand Opening 5. Health for my wife and me 6. God would be pleased, glorified, and exalted as God uses us as instruments and co-laborers together with Christ 7. Missionary Update 11/28/2016
Dear Pastor and Church Family, Happy Thanksgiving! During this season my wife and I wanted to take a moment to thank you for your faithful prayer and financial support for the ministry the Lord has entrusted to us. During this year, the Lord has allowed us to present our ministry to 68 new churches, and we’ve personally led 29 precious souls to the Lord. One of those souls was that of my father. He made a profession of faith back in 1994, however, when he was recently diagnosed with liver cancer, his testimony was not clear. I am thankful that the Lord allowed me to lead him to the Lord 3 days before he passed on to glory on November 22, 2016. We are looking ahead to January 2017, when Lord willing, we will kick-off the Northpointe Baptist Church in Ventura. We are currently right at 90% of our needed support, and trust that we will reach 100% after this “mission’s” season. We have secured housing and have found a community center in town that may work for a meeting place. We are hopeful, and would rather use a hotel, Pier Pont Inn. Please pray with us that the Lord will allow us to find the best location for the new church plant. We are currently praying for laborers as we know there is a multitude of souls to be reached. We are very thankful for you and want you to know that we greatly appreciate your support. We thank you for investing in us and pray that you’ll find us to be a worthy investment. We are excited and praying with great anticipation for the great things the Lord will do in Ventura, and Oxnard, and then the cities beyond as the Lord leads. Happy Thanksgiving to you!
